  Highland is pretty interesting, the plaza itself seemed clean however little tricky to find restaurant... however the pictures from previous yelpers helped guide me It's right next to a video store and Pizza Hut!!
  
  From the inside it's very basic and simple it's small yet spacious and it doesn't seem overcrowded.
  
  I was greeted by a sweet lady (assuming is the owner) she reminds of a middle eastern mother I always wanted  She talks with such love about the store and her energy is probably a big reason why I would be returning.
  she even gave me a mini cute tutorial on how to really eat and dip white sauce+hummus.
  
  The food itself.. oh my these falafels are to die for! I'm vegetarian so I've had many encounters with Middle Eastern falafel's.... these are so crunchy on the outside but so soft and warm and fluffy in the inside!! I am In love. Highly recommend the falafels.
  
  The salad was so generously 'sauced'. The pita so thin so good... if you like thick super soft pita, this is not it. They have all sauces available White, tahini, chili, etc.  and deserts displayed in front case that look fresh and tasty.
  
  Two reasons I'll be back... customer service and these AMAZING falafels.

  How did I just learn about this place? Hubby and I just had a delicious dinner, Kufta plate, falafel order, kufta sandwich.... the falafel was the most delicious I have ever had and the flatbread sandwich was filled with perfect amounts of sauce, lettuce, and spices.
  Come here for lunch or dinner, you will be welcomed like you are their favorite friends, Tina is so friendly and loves to find out what you like to eat so she can make recommendations if you aren't sure what to order.
  We got a lot of food for a very fair price. They can also deliver through grub hub and another delivery service.  
  My husband is Lebanese and I have been to stay with his family in Lebanon where I ate the most delicious home cooked middle eastern food you can imagine so I am dead serious about my opinion of the food at Falafel Express.
  I have been searching for perfect falafel since I ate the most perfect falafel in Lebanon. This falafel finally ended my search and I can't believe it's close to home!
  I'm already thinking of what I'd like to order next time. Hahaha
  We didn't get to try dessert but found out they make their own desserts, they don't buy them from anywhere like some other places do..
  I forgot to take photos of what we ate because we dug right in. Lol.....

  Who knew this gem was here in Highland? I sure didn't. I found this place using Yelp app. Thank you, Yelp! Although, I'm thankful I found it 'cause it's sorta hard to find. The sign is a  tarp with hard to read fonts and the graphics look like a disaster and not very visible when driving. Also, they have sun reflectors on the windows which make it hard to see in. The place almost looks like it's closed.
  However, if you find this spot, you'll love it and they're most likely not closed.
  
  The food is delicious! If you're on the hunt for Mediterranean food in Highland, California, look no further. It's here. Everything offered here is what you've come to expect from a place that serves such good, deliciousness.
  
  Staff is friendly. Restrooms are clean and tidy.

  Delicious spot we were lucky to find.   Feels like you enter your own family's spot when you walk in. At least for me it does.    Delicious hummus (I'm very particular since it's in my culture).  Delicious chicken kabob and the the falafel is one of the best.   Almost as amazing as my uncles !  Love this place.  Everyone needs to try it.

  My mom, stepdad, and I got food here for dinner recently. We did a phone order and dined at home. We got a falafel pita sandwich, a beef shawarma sandwich, and a plate which included rice, chicken, kofta, pita bread, onion, and baba ghanoush.
  
  The falafel pita sandwich was just okay. I was expecting the falafel to be bigger and not soggy; I guess it didn't travel well back home. The beef shawarma sandwich ended up being very good and full of meat! I really enjoyed the plate, especially the rice and the baba ghanoush. Combining all the items from this plate ended up being very delicious.
  
  Overall, this is a good restaurant to get Mediterranean food in the Highland area. I'd definitely come back to try more, and get the baba ghanoush again.. it was so good! Enjoy!
